Why were we the residents not informed about 25m of bus stop markings being placed outside of our properties leaving 5 vehicles with no parking spaces when there is a perfectly good spot at the bottom of serpentine green, which was where you put new electrics and installed a bus stop but then moved it again this is a stop that not even 10 people a day use i should no i live here and have done for the last 24years. The school children get on and off at the end of Delabole Road which in theory means that this stop is not even needed.I am extremely angry that no one even contacted us the residents which have been affected no letters no consoltation we were not even advised of meetings concerning this. Is this how you all work the boss of the workers told them he didnt give a f##k what we thought just get the lines painted which to me seems the same of our local council you dont give a flying f##k what we think you will just do it anyway. There is not even 1 other bus stop of this size many that have been painted in when not even in use and others not marked so why is this necessary or was a nice smooth road without graffitti to much to ask for., It took 23yrs+ for us to get this road resurfaced and now its been covered in bloody awful yellow paint. Myself and other neighbours have all agreed that this bus stop will cause friction between neighbours with everyone trying to pinch each others spaces, spaces that we have had for 25yrs without any problems we may not own the highway but we should have a say and common sense should have been used in this situation by leaving the bus stop on Serpentine Green where no one lives 1 house has a fenced in drive with space for 4 vehicles the other corner house also has a large drive with no car so who the hell thought this position infront of our properties was a good place to put it. I would like to hear from someone as it seems according to Alistair at highways consoltation with the council took place but not with us………And by the way that man at Highways is a very rude ill mannered loathsome person that should get of his backside and view what he does instead of looking at a piece of paper and playing x marks the spot.
