The historic Town Hall in Reigate & Banstead is opening its doors to the public as part of Heritage Open Days weekend, which, will be taking place across the borough, between Thursday 9th and Sunday 12th September, offering free access to medieval underground caves, historic listed buildings, museums and churches.

New Merstham Youth Group – Nautical Training Corps (NTC)
A new youth group is being setup in Merstham, based at St Nicholas School in Merstham. The Nautical Training Corps (NTC) is a uniformed youth organisation based in the south of England, that aims to help young people develop their full potential through nautically based training.

Reigate & Banstead Borough Council’s recycling team is hitting the road over the coming months to bring the “reduce, reuse and recycle” message out to residents to help them waste less, and hopefully save money at the same time.
The Recycling Road show will be in Merstham for the Quality Street Fair on the 3rd July.
Knit and Natter Group launched in Merstham
A new weekly arts and craft group, ‘Knit and Natter’ is being launched at the Merstham Community Facility (44 Portland Drive, Merstham) on Friday 23rd April 10-12AM.
The new group for anyone who enjoys knitting, crochet, cross stitch and other crafts.

Merstham residents are invited to join Reigate and Banstead’s countryside rangers to hear in the Dawn Chorus on Redhill Common on Sunday 21st March. Ideal for early birds, an “introduction to the dawn chorus for beginners” gives people a chance to listen to the early morning birdsong and learn to identify which song belongs to which bird.
