As part of Reigate & Banstead Borough Council’s commitment to reduce energy consumption, new low emission energy saving lights have being installed at Clarendon Road car park.
Contractors have replace the old fluorescent lighting tubes with new energy saving, efficient lights, which also give out a whiter, brighter light than the old ones.

Relief for residents as Wells Place parking controls installed
After years of regular noise disturbance for residents living close to Wells Place light industrial area in Merstham, parking controls to prevent overnight lorry parking have now been installed.
New yellow line restrict any parking both sides of Wells Place from the existing parking controls in a direction north to the highway extents (to the private section of Wells Place) between the hours of 19:00 to 08:00 seven days a week.
Yellow lines proposed to stop A23 Junction Parking
Reigate & Banstead Local Committee on Monday 1st March will consider recommends to add double yellow lines around the key junctions onto the A23 in Merstham. Current irresponsible parking has lead to a regular number of accidents where drivers pulling out of side roads such as Station Road North have been unable to view on-coming traffic due sight lines being blocked by parked cars.
