Merstham refuse collection – 1st Dec Update

Latest reports from Reigate & Banstead Borough Council are that they intend to operate a full refuse collection service in the Merstham area tomorrow. Residents are asked to put out their bins for collection as usual. This service may still be subject to local conditions and their may still be difficulty’s reaching certain properties.

Council triumphs twice in Recycling Awards

Reigate & Banstead emerged from last Thursday’s Achievement in Recycling Awards with two awards, beating off competition from far larger organisations in its bid to have the recycling achievements of local residents recognised in these national awards.
The council won the Recycling Partnership Award, beating Tesco and Cardiff City Council and the Council’s Recycling Officer, Lizzy Jones, also won a Recycling Champion award.

Refuse and Recycling collections to get back to normal

Following the disruption to refuse and recycling collections caused by the recent bad weather over the last few, council staff are planning to have collections back to normal this week.
As from Monday 18 January the council will be resuming normal refuse, recycling and garden waste collections as well as the collection of Christmas trees.
