With the spread of snowy and icy conditions in Merstham and across the borough, Reigate & Banstead Borough Council has published advice on likely impacts to its services.
The page on its website covers disruption to refuse collection, closed buildings and other alterations to services in the event of snow or freezing weather. The council’s page will be updated daily during any bad weather and we will try to provide updates on any disruption to Merstham services on this web site.

Following the disruption to refuse and recycling collections caused by the recent bad weather over the last few, council staff are planning to have collections back to normal this week.
As from Monday 18 January the council will be resuming normal refuse, recycling and garden waste collections as well as the collection of Christmas trees.

Merstham collections missed yesterday due to the snow (Wed 13 January) will be collected today and the council will attempt to collect some of Tuesday’s missed collections as well.

The Government indicate that local councils may have to further cut salt and grit use by more than the 25% already agreed.
