After months of chasing highways engineer, its great to see that the missing speed activated sign has been installed in London Road South.

The post for the sign was installed in May this year but has the sign itself did not.

It now appears that that original sign was found to be faulty when it was first installed and had to be sent back to the manufactures to be fixed. The sign will now complete the pair of signs, one at each and of the High Street and are designed to slow down drives as they approach the zebra crossing and sharp bend by the Feathers PH.

One other speed sign still remains to be installed in London Road North, this we understand has been held up due to a lack of access to a power source at its current location. Engineering are now planning to move the location of the sign 30m south where a source of accessable power has been located. Further updates on this will follow.
